![]() ![]() you hide behind a rock and shoot BACK at mithrix or wait until he's fired his shots, then you shoot back, and when you shoot back, you get your ITEMS back, thus defeating mithrix, and besides when he does the orbs you can just. Well, Mithrix is Mithrix and I see him as a decent final boss, yes a few of his attacks are cheesy and utter bull, but he provides that serious threat level that you want him to provide! he has adaptive armor which limits DPS ( which sometimes fails when your loader and have 69 crowbars, I could have gone higher, but 69 was a good limit, and this was with the artifact of command ) and yet, he still feels downright threatning until you remember theres COVER. After he takes some damage and loses some items he also uses the spheres attack but again, it's easy to dodge. 5 times in monsoon, 3 of which were in stage 16) and he's never (Not even the first time) managed to kill me, much less one-shot me in that phase. At this point I've beaten Mithrix a ton of times (7 times in stage 6 in Eclipse, and at least. It'd be a fun twist to make him harder :D When he steals your items his only attack is the burst of bullets. Maybe you could spawn the boss on the first level next time out of the teleporter. Gotta say, it takes effort to make the boss harder by giving them new techniques or dodges to your attacks, or even a block function, but it's might fun to just give them an auto win, where they not only steal your items, but then use them against you, so you're giving Wesker even more invincibility while stripping you of any buffs you might have acquired. Also he’s pretty much completely optional, if you don’t wanna deal with it and just want to get a busted run going that trivializes the game, loop and go obliterate yourself instead. ![]() His basic patterns are extremely easy to dodge on most classes, and when I do die it’s usually more because of some kind of proc item or build I had going that just passively nuked me because I was planning to loop and forgot to redirect the teleported. The more you can confine him to using only his base abilities the easier the fight is. It’s usually best to not loop if you’re looking to fight him, and consider your build more critically (firing wisps while running is great. While he probably could use some tweaks (Tesla coil says hi) all in all he’s perfectly managable as long as you’re planing around him. While it’s not perfect, honestly I think it fits the games theme of knowing when to push your luck and that delicate balancing act of when to stop looting. It's fairly easy to dodge too since it doesn't have strong homing like ours gets.Mithrix is wierd, it’s basically a limiter to keep you from getting so powerful that you trivialize the game. Mithrix doesn't even hold a candle to Providence's boss fight, especially since Mithrix has Visions of Heresy as his only means of hitting you if you're not on the ground. Don't even get me started if you ended up with a Tesla early on. Although if your damage items came early on or you have a large supply of items, it's possible to just skip that phase by burning him down while he's busy playing Hoover and the fight is over. His last phase is only difficult due to him stealing your items and potentially ruining any damage output and/or movement you have. He even does the generic "insult" lines in chat you'd see in an MMO dungeon/raid boss. Mithrix is a lackluster boss that just has extreme damage output due to generic MMO boss mechanics of "Don't stand in the fire".
